it’s worked untill i turn it off lol then have to repeat the same thing by covering it with towel.. xbox should fix this problem before selling the xboxs cause alot of people spend alot of time fixing this problem lol thanks for advice worked a treat tho

@icemanjjjf um waste of ur time? towel trick does work and fixes it temporarily if ur looking to actually fix it try the penny trick but u have to dismantly ur entire xbox. have fun

Can anyone help me? i was in the middle of downloading a map pack in MW2.Around when 82% download was done i got a red ring i quickly turned it off and unplugged the power supply cables.now when i plug it back in the power cable is green and if i turn on my xbox theres no green rings or red rings and nothing shows up on the tv. can anyone help?

You don’t need to do the towel trick, you can just leave it on for like a day and a half, but the towel trick takes less time.
