This is my guide to disassembling a Xbox 360 console controller. I used a TORX T8 screwdriver to take the controller apart. I know there are other methods of doing this including using a tiny phillips head to break the center column of the screw itself. I do believe that you can order a TORX screwdriver from www.llamma.com, they also have tons of great guides on how to disassemble and modify Xbox, PSP, PS3 and Wii consoles. This tutorial shows you how to fix an unresponsive bumper button “RB/LB” on your Xbox 360 controller, using a little piece of tape. The goal here is to extend the “stick” (shaped as a “+” sign) so that it makes contact with the button on the circuit board. I reccomend using duc-tape or electrical tape, as they stay on the best, you could also use thick glue to extend the button, but I have found out that tape works the best, and can last practically forever inside your controller.
