If your system is showing 3 red lights on the power button and an E74 error screen, you have the 3 red light error. This is also known as: Red ring of death 3 Red rings RROD 3ROD E74 Error You may also have one of these other fairly common errors: 2 red lights 1 red light Graphics freezing E69 (or another E number) All of these errors are caused by 1 thing: a loose GPU (graphics processing unit). While Microsoft has not addressed this issue officially, they are at fault for your Xbox 360 breaking. Here is what happened: Microsoft was in a race (against Sony and Nintendo) to be the first next generation console on the market (after the PS2, Gamecube, and Xbox). KEEP YOUR WARRENTY – DONT OPEN OR SMASH UP YOUR XBOX 360 – PLEASE READ NOTES After getting the 3 red lights, me and my mate sam decided to follow the towel trick fix for the xbox 360, and did it work??? video made by tntmanning also staring matrixsteele (xbox live gamertags) EDIT – of course it worked, because we are good, a bit more info to get you guys back on live quicker, first wrap up the xbox in some towels to cover the vents, get access to each vent and hover each in turn, this will remove dust from the heatsink, then do the towel trick with DRY towels. get back on live and start gaming, remember to subsribe and vote, i reply to all questions MUSIC From the beginning: Pendulem – Propaine Nightmares, MIA – Paper Planes, Rhianna – Please Dont Stop The Music, Queen – Dont Stop Me Now.
