Ok my xbox was playing GTA IV and I trippedover the internet wire and my xbox fell over and made a grinding noise. I tookthe disc out and it had big rings in the middle of it. I then took it to the games men and they fixed it. when I was talking to them they explained to me that by fixing it they were pretty much grinding it away so the scratches were gone. now what I am about to say is going to make you think I am realy stuped and yes I know I am but….well I did it again. I tripped over the internet wire and it fell over again and there are more rings. but my question is is it safe to get it repaired again or will this we grinding down too far?

I have a video game that was in my xbox 360 but something dropped on my xbox while I was not paying attention. No damage was done to the xbox but some wierd scratch has appeared on my disc. It’s a circle looking scratch to the outside of the disc and I just can’t seem to get it off. Do you guys have any techniques to get out the scratches. I’ve already tried disc cleaner and other stuff. Otherwise, how would I get a refund from the store I got it from? Thanks for the help.

My nieces knocked over my 360 the other day while i was playing black ops. The disc is all scratched up with rings around the sides of it. This happened to me before and it was in the warranty period and i was able to return the game and get a new one. Now about a few months later, I have this problem once again. Im really starting to get mad because this will be the 3rd disc of this game Ive gone through. Any advice on this problem? And does anyone have a perminate solution to it? My Xbox 360 Is standing upward, i dont know if it should be downward or not. Anyway is there a way to buff out these scratches and make it work again? And I do have a warranty on this game, but will gamestop accept the game back if i tried to fix it like this? Thats alot of questions…Here ill make it simple.

Can you repair the disc and how?
Is there a perminate solution to it?
Should my Xbox be standing up or on its side?
I bought a 1 year warranty on the game, Will gamestop still accept it if i tried to fix it like this?
If you have a solution what are the possible risks of performing it?

Thank you so much! If your solution works Ill give you a cookie

I recently got Bioshock 2 and had already played it for about 6 hours. I turned my Xbox on to play it some more and noticed it was making kind of a strange sound. It sounded kind of like a "fluttering" noise and I assumed it to be normal loading noise. I played for about 30 minutes and got to a point where I used an audio diary. The audio skipped a few times while my Xbox continued to make its noise. Flipping out, I turned my xbox off and removed the disc. I checked for scratches but there were NONE. I put the disc back in and it has worked fine ever since. I don’t recall anything like this happening recently (atleast since I got my xbox repaired) and nothing has happened in the last day or so since. Was this just a fluke? Should I be really concerned or could it have just been an isolated incident? Please help…I’m OCDing all over the place.
