ok so i know that microsoft had a deal where u could get a hdd and a 3month live subscription for 30 dollars if you got a xbox arcade, is this still available if so where can i go to find it links would be appreciated

The disk is clean literaly i just popped in my xbox and I check the bottoms its shiny as can be, its been even in the packaging all day and I just decided to play it. As soon as I begin the first mission, right before you walk in this little building it gives me the error..
Can anyone help me???
Plus I recently repaired my xbox because of the 2 red lights and its worked since then so WtF!?!?

Um.. well i downloaded it to my hdd and it was sucessful problem is I still have problem at exact same point…
so it couldnt be my disc drive could it?

My 360 was knocked over and caused Halo Reach to get the perfect circle laser burn on the disc, I have read/watched a few solutions on how to fix the disc, using tooth paste and rubber gum but I am not that confident that this will work and will damage the disc further….anyone repaired a lasered disc?

If so how did you do it?

I also have the idea that if i rent Reach from Blockbuster then use that non-damaged disc and install it to my HDD, that it would be possible to use my damaged disc to run the game from my HDD?

I have had my Xbox 360 20GB HDD since November of 2007 and haven’t had any problems with it until this morning. I turned on the system and it didn’t start up the game that’s in the drive like it normally does, so i opened the drive and closed it thinking it maybe just didn’t read it. I have NXE so it said "opening", then "closing", then "reading", but never played the disc. If I listen closely I can hear a quiet whining sound when it says "reading". After looking around online it is apparent that i have disc drive issues and that it is somewhat common for this to happen. So my question is, should I spend the 0 to have Microsoft repair it or should I just buy a new disc drive off of ebay() and install it myself? It has been just over a year since I got the 360 so my warranty is void for everything except 3RROD. I have heard of people complaining with tech support and getting it repaired for free even after their warranty is up, so should I try that first? or don’t they actually do that? Thanks.

hi this is the 3rd xbox 360 case fix ive done, iv’e added a flushed top fan over one of the heatsinks plus a new fan on the side, also re-made the vent on the front ( to duct away the heat via a fan inside over the other heatsink) now been running now over 8 months no red lights at all! (started out getting 2 red light and loud fans then 3 red lights)
