i think my xbox has a problem…..when i put in a disc.on the dashboard(or NXE)it tells me its reading disc and after a while.it says open disc tray like if there wasnt anything in it….then it sometimes says Play DVD instead of saying the game….its random do….would this be enought to send for a free repair…..my warranty expires in new years…does it extend my warranty if send it in for repair?..its not really a problem because is random but its kind of annoying .i dont really need to repair it because is not really a big problem but maybe it will worsen to the point where its unplayable and my warranty will be over by then..so idk..and maybe il get a jasper Xbox 360..should i do it??

When I turn on my xbox, it signs me into my gamer profile. But then I’m never signed into xbox live. I can still sign into xbox live normally by going into the dashboard menu, but it’s not signing me into xbox live automatically when I turn the xbox on. This is very inconvenient. And I have checked off "sign me in automatically". Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

I got my Xbox 360 in September 2007 and ever since around March or April 2008 its been taking a while to recognize discs are in the tray. I have to open and close it sometimes up to 20 times before it will realize a disc is in it… And when i get brand new games it will sometimes stop me during the game and say "This disc is unreadable please clean it with a soft cloth and restart the console" then it sends me back to the Dashboard. I recently bought Guitar Hero World Tour and something was wrong with the game so i returned it and got a new one and this one wont even start at all. I have to open and close the disc tray sometimes up to 30 times and when I select a city to start the career in the game it will say the disc is unreadable and wont start again. I put in all my info on xbox .com to request a repair and they already priced the repair before i told them what was wrong which was .00. And from what I have seen and heard and read on the internet this problem is common enough to get a recall so everyone who has this problem can get a free repair or new xbox 360 or whatever. But how do i fix this because my xbox says brand new completely clean games are dirty and cannot be read. Please Help!

As soon as I start Call of Duty 4, Xbox Live disconnects. When I go to dashboard, i’m connected instantly again. Live works fine with every other game that I try but not Cod4. I tried restarting the xbox and also tried again after an hour or so but with no luck. Any ideas?

I have an xbox 360, and the drive makes a loud noise like a scrubbing noise, and after attempting 10-15 times the disc read error comes up in the dashboard.

However, I haven’t had any major problems playing regular DVDS and they typically start up with no problem except making that same noise on start up and shut down.

Can I fix the guts somehow or replace it with a new one from ebay? I have already switched out the dvd player in my old xbox a few years ago, so I’m curious if the new 360 is the same way.
