Xbox 360 DVD Drive – Broken

My third Xbox 360 gives up the ghost but not with the ROD! This time it’s the DVD drive that has broken and won’t read any type of disc be it Game, CD or DVD. I’ve tried all my games and the ones used in this video: Crackdown and Call Of Duty 2 + the DVD Jaws are in immaculate condition. Micro$oft wan’t £85+ for the repair as it isn’t covered by the new 3 year warranty because I don’t have the Three Red Lights.
Is there a place to Buy a plain xbox 360?

I just had the three red rings for the third time already. And i really want to buy an Xbox 360 Arcade but i don’t want the extra crap the comes with it. Is there a retailer or site that i can just buy the Xbox 360 buy itself? I tried Amazon, Ebay, and Craigslist already.

PS3 with some exclusives or 360 with the red ring of death?

i heard that the ps3 is losing exclusives butif iget the 360 I dont want to wait2 months to play it again if it gets the red ringof death…………I dont want anyclaims of PS3 sucks!!! or 360=crap type answers and also i dont plan on getting Live for 360
