i show how to fix a xbox360 controller that constantly disconnects during gameplay. its not the batteries and it isnt the system. its the controllers connection to the batteries. loose batteries, and a loose battery housing. *update- most of the after market rechargeable battery packs i have tried seem to fit a lot tighter and don’t seem to have this issue as much. all you need is some tape and scissors.

I had a rechargeable battery for my xbox controller that wouldn’t hold a charge for more than about 15 minutes. Instead of throwing it away and buying another, in this video I attempted to replace the battery with Energizers purchased from Walgreen’s. The controller seems to be working…

This is my guide to disassembling a Xbox 360 console controller. I used a TORX T8 screwdriver to take the controller apart. I know there are other methods of doing this including using a tiny phillips head to break the center column of the screw itself. I do believe that you can order a TORX screwdriver from www.llamma.com, they also have tons of great guides on how to disassemble and modify Xbox, PSP, PS3 and Wii consoles.
