Thank you, it worked out perfectly, now I only need to switch it out with a working disc drive.
Cant get the fucking sata cable out of my hitachi drive…
I had that problem when I first opened up my 360. I just had to pull really hard. I was afraid I’d fuck it up, but it didn’t. Just got to pull harder.

i have squeezed till my fingers bleed trying to get that fuucking first plate of…with a toothpick my ass ! I cant get that plate even loosened ,its like welded shut !
how do you remove the plate on the dvd drive that says xbox 360 i want to change mine from white to a chrome one off a pro
how do u remove the magnet piece so the cd can spin under the sticker on the cd case???

the back of my xbox will not come off cos ive opened it before but its fucked up and not wokring.
cant get the back little holes to open
so i have a modded 360 drive and my 360 just RROD’d, i can just remove the drive and put it in another 360 and play backups still right?
good instructions brother, how much more work would be required to clean the lens in the disc drive?
theres a white sticker over one of the slips on the front. i need to send my xbox in for repair. is that a warranty sticker and if they saw it was gone would they still repair it?

@WOWlord8 I had to bend my case back and such until it just popped off. It’s up to you if you do that or not, but otherwise, just try and unscrew and screws with the case on, and just slide it off. That’s what I did and then it just popped off and it’s fine now.
@ronald0raygun So long as you have the same Hard Drive and Disk drive, you should be fine to just open up the new one and stick the modded in it. The RROD goes by system/motherboard type thing, not disk drive.
