how to fix red ring of death?

it has four lights either how to fix it by urself (if you cant think or you dont know how then ) how much would it cost to fix it in a local store
nevermind it has 3 lights not 4

the easy way to fix it (not sure this will work on yours) is to do the following:
1. turn off all things linked with the xbox (console, controller, etc.)
2. tap the sides of the xbox three times on each side.
3. wait a couple minutes, and turn it on.
If you just bought it, return it to the store, or check if it is still in warranty, and just send it back, and they will fix it or give you a new 1. If I remember right, Gamestop can fix it, but I do not know how much it will cost.
I think fixing it yourself may save you much money as well as time. You don’t have to wait 3 weeks of more to repair it with Microsoft..
