How long does it take for xbox to repair a xbox 360's dvd drive?

Ive recently sent my xbox 360 to be repaired because it couldnt read any sort of discs and didnt even try to. Ive just gotten an email saying they have recieved the console. I was just curious how long it would take them to repair the dvd drive or would they just give me another console?…. Plz help

My boyfriend and I have to send in out xbox360s all the time. So I’m sure of what they will do.
So, since you already sent it in, they will do one of two things. They’ll either repair the xbox and send it back to you. Or put a new one in its place and send it to you.
But it takes a month for either one. Exactly a month. But when you get it back you’ll get a one month free xbl card inside the box. =]
Well the same thing happened to me and now xbox wont even start without saying "System Error Contact Xbox Customer Support" and before all that it would say play DVD when Halo 3 was in the drive. They told me it would take 1 to 2 weeks!!!!!
Most likely, they will exchange the console for a refurbished one.
Failed DVD drives are likely not repaired but, rather, replaced.
As for length of time, it is not unusual for the process to take up to two weeks.
Just buy a ps3 now and when your xbox comes back in 2-3 weeks sell it.
