You cant really prevent it…it is caused by overheating though
Well, don’t worry too much, it’s kind of hard to get the red ring.
1 – you get it if your xbox over heats, so don’t play for like 8 hours at a time. dont feel limited to playing only a short amount of time for each sitting. just dont play day in and day out for so many hours.
2 – try to get a cooling fan, if youre really determined to care for your xbxo, there are cooling accessories for the xbox 360.
3 – dont leave your xbox on for long, if youre leaving for more than 10 minutes, shut it off.
4 – keep the xbox in a cool area.
