DISC REPAIR help?

what is a good way to repair a scratched disc?
i am open to all suggestions

i have used some ‘CD repair’ cream stuff, but it doesn’t work too well

(don’t know what difference it would make, but i am trying to repair some XBOX discs, and some gamecube discs)

    Best advice…

Head down to your local video store. Most big name video stores stock a machine that cleans dics and most allow you to give them any CD/DVD for a price to be cleaned.

I always take my things there and not worry about all the gimmicks you can buy and do yourself.

    Goodluck!

Use a little car wax and a very soft rag, like for cleaning glasses.

It’s worked a few times for me, but it isint permananet (sp?), Furniture polish.
Windex seems to work sometimes too.

    Here is one method.

Run warm water (not hot) and run the water over the under side of the disc, get some dish soap and put a little on the disc and rub with your finger in circles all the way around the disc. Once done, rinse it off and dry it with a soft lint free cloth. Make sure you dry it from the inner hole outwards all the way around.

I got this tip from an old GamePro mag and it’s work on a couple of my games. Other than that, go to gamestop and request info.
