I sent in my console in for a free repair for the RROD-red rings of death.
The thing is, however, it actually doesn’t have that. It can’t read discs and the disc drive broke.
I even included a pretty well written and "sob story" note with it, saying it get the red rings OCCASIONALLY . It went through the entire process and says "Console shipped out", and it went past the "Repair" stages. Another odd thing is that they increased the regular warranty by 3 months as well..weird. So what do you think I’m going to expect back?

I sent my xbox 360 in to the repair center in New York-because I live in Canada- 2 weeks ago and it is Sunday today can you tell me what day or how many weeks till I get it back? im going through withdrawl here bear with me kk ohh and the reason why my xbox broke is i got unplayable disk {hardware failure} and i bored as hell so your help is apreciated

ok so like a year ago i got red ring of death, but i don’t really play many video games so i decided to jst stuff it in the closet. Now no lights show up when i press the power button or the disc eject button and the power source light flashes green. Well now i see an awesome looking game coming out,so i called xbox support. The lady told me the repair would be and i dnt have that much money. So are there any really cheap ways to fix my xbox??????

it has a problem with freezing even when the disks aren’t dirty or damaged.

I recently gotten a unplayable disc error for all of my games and I plan on sending the system in for repair since I still am under warranty. I was just curious, can I send the system, but keep the hardrive with me? Cause I’ve heard getting your xbox 360 repaired may cause you to lose data on your hardrive, and I have way to much valuable data on there to just get deleted. Would it matter to Microsoft if they got a 360 for repair that didnt have a hardrive? If anyone has experienced this, it would be really helpful if they could give me some incite on this. Thanks

They say that the xbox should not be shipped with a disc in it. I had the three red light problem and it wouldn’t turn on. So, I had to take out Call of Duty 4 and the silver part on the disc tray broke off. I read the warranty. Is this xbox to "tampered" to be fixed?

i just got the new xbox slim last month and it already has a few problems like i can play 1 or 2 matches on blackops and then it says the disc is unreadable then it takes me to the xbox dashboard and i keep trying it and it won’t work then it takes me in a dvd menu like im watching a movie before i send it to repair can some one give me some tips BTW i already tried the steps on xbox.com

ive also tried every game so yeah

every time im about to play it tells me unreadable disk and to clean it with a soft cloth and i do and still doesn’t work

I bought a refurbished XBOX 360 about 6 months ago, and ever since I got it, I have had trouble with every game I have bought. I buy used games, and almost every one of them either freezes, the graphics are broken, or it will just randomly say "the disc is unreadable". The thing is, my friend has a 360 and all of these games work fine on his, when they won’t work on mine. I want to repair it myself, because microsofts warranty was voided out when it was refurbished, and Game Stop, the place where I bought it, won’t take it back because it has been six months and I don’t even have the receipt any more. I think it might be the disk drive or the laser, but I would like another opinion.
